What period of ur life r u in ?

I’m in a somewhat fragile but also very educational period of my life. It’s an emotionally intense process of self-reflection, but also one where I’m gaining a clearer understanding of what I want. I’d describe it as tiring but enriching.

Let’s go back to the beginning, what can u tell us about ur childhood ?

I’d a very vivid imagination as a child. I created my own stories and characters. I was a somewhat introverted but observant child. I loved watching people and trying to understand their behavior. In fact, I feel like the foundations of my current profession r laid back then.

U’re a graduate of the History Department at Izmir Democracy University. Have u worked in a field related to ur profession ?

Studying history gave me a very different perspective, but I didn’t pursue a career in that field after graduation. I mostly gained experience on film sets. Nevertheless, my historical knowledge greatly contributes to my character development in acting.

How did u decide to become an actress ?

Actually, it was something that came from within. It’s been there since I was little, but it took me time to muster the courage. At some point, I said to myself, ‘If I don’t try, it’ll always stay inside me’, and I took the first step by starting to do theater. After that, it just happened naturally.

U play the character ‘Ceren’ in the hit series ‘Eşref Rüya’. How did u get involved in the project ?

I got involved through a classic casting process. When I first read the character, something inside me said, ‘This is you.’ I followed that feeling, and the process went well.

What kind of woman is ‘Ceren’ ?

‘Ceren’ is a woman who appears strong on the outside but carries a lot inside. She doesn’t always show her emotions, but she fights within herself when she deems it necessary. It’s these contradictions that make her interesting.

How do u feel when u watch urself on screen ?

At first, it was difficult to watch myself; I was very critical. I still criticize myself now, but in a more constructive way. When I watch myself, I think about how I can do better.

What kind of success goal did u’ve in mind when u first entered the industry ? It was there, and now, looking back, where do u see urself in relation to that goal ?

Initially, I’d a more general dream; to become a good actress. Later I realized it was something deeper. I want to do work that truly leaves a mark. I feel like I’m on the right track.

What kind of character would u most like to act ?

I’m very attracted to characters with psychological depth and layers. I like to act characters with complex inner worlds, undergoing transformations, characters who r real enough to disturb the audience.

I know u’re interested in music and u play the violin. R you considering a professional career in music ?

Music is a very special area for me, but right now I’m focusing on acting. However, I still want music to remain a part of my life. Perhaps in the future there’ll be projects where I can combine the two.

What do u do on a self-care day ?

I’m focusing more on relaxing my mind. A long shower, skincare, some music... I’m trying to stay without my phone. Simple moments alone with myself do me good.

So, do u follow fashion and how’d u describe ur style ?

I’m not completely out of touch with fashion, but I wouldn’t say I follow it closely either. My style mostly changes depending on my mood. Sometimes I can be very simple, sometimes more daring. But overall, I’ve a natural and effortless-looking style.

Do u actively use social media ?

I’m not very active. I mostly post when I feel like it.

Do u exercise regularly ?

I wouldn’t say I’m very disciplined, but I do become more organized from time to time. I try not to neglect my responsibilities when I’ve the time.

Everyone defines love in their own way; I’d like to ask you for ur definition of love...

For me, love is a bit of security, a bit of peace, and a bit of chaos, actually. It isn’t just something that makes u feel good, it’s also something that transforms u.

What headings would form ur life philosophy?

Not wanting everything, but wanting what’s right. And remembering that everything is temporary... That makes me feel good.

I want from u to tell urself something, when u read this interview in the future...

I hope u’re still brave and living the life u truly want. I hope u haven’t let ur fears stop u.
